From the current owner:
" The vin is 124379N537718. Built first week in November '68. I have spoken with two former owners back to the late '80s. Both indicate to the best of their knowledge it is an SS car(**). Even back then it had the SS badging, hood, hood insualtion, power disc brakes, tach, 12 bolt rear, 5 leaf springs, power disc brakes, block casting 3932386 and intake casting 3965577. However, the heads are 3932441 and the engine code is V1029HS. Built in Norwood first week of Nov '68, it is of course a pre-X code car. Engine and transmission are numbers matching. Transmission code is Y9S02D (Toledo Nov 2 day shift). Rear end was also built first week Nov. So, it's a mystery to me."
